Hearing Aids

There are many different styles of hearing aids available and each of them has their own advantages and benefits for your unique lifestyle. Finding the right hearing aid is important for success. There is not a “one size fits all” and Ears Hearing Clinics is here to help you find the solution for you!

At Ears Hearing Clinics, we want to get to know your hearing needs before we prescribe a hearing aid. Ears Hearing Clinics is currently the only hearing clinic in Langley that participates in the Flex Forward Evaluation Program.

The evaluation process allows you to take home hearing aids and try them for a period of one week. This gives you a ‘taste’ of what hearing aids can do for you and you can then decide if amplification is right for you. Having the time to ‘test drive’ hearing aids allows you to make an informed decision based on your hearing and lifestyle needs.

As an independent hearing clinic we have access to the most sophisticated technology from every major manufacturer. This means that our clients will also have access to the products that are right for their unique and specific hearing needs.

The Receiver in the Canal (RIC) refers to the speaker of the hearing aid. The receiver is placed down in the ear canal and is attached to the main body of the RIC hearing aid by an electronic wire. RIC’s are a type of ‘open’ fit hearing aid that allows sound to travel through the ear canal naturally. RIC’s also greatly reduce the feeling of being plugged while wearing the hearing aid.
